“I am a 3rd year grad worker in EAPS, and have been a union organizer for 2 years. As a Bargaining Committee representative, I worked with other organizers to help deliver our big contract win. Since then, I’ve served as the Interim Area Steward for EAPS, CEE, and Chemistry, working closely with grad workers and organizers to tackle issues and grievances in their departments. That experience has made it clear to me that strong contract enforcement depends on deep organizing and a robust network of stewards ready to fight. I’m running for Area Chief Steward for the School of Science on the BOLD slate to empower grad workers to fight big issues on campus, to develop a strong network of stewards, and to lay the groundwork that will engage grad workers in a democratic union for years to come.”
