“I am a second year grad worker in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (DMSE) and in the Program for Polymers and Soft Matter (PPSM), and have been an organizer ever since my first semester on campus. I came to MIT excited about the change the newly formed union could bring forward to MIT’s campus and academia as a whole. As a member of the Contract Action Team and a Department Organizer, I have worked to bring organizers and workers together alike to secure strong protections, benefits, and union for all MIT grad workers, and I hope to continue this work as an Area Chief Steward for the School of Engineering on the BOLD slate.”
